About Kevin Vertatschitsch

I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Business Administration Degree through St. Lawrence College’s partnership with Laurentian University. So far, this program has been extremely rewarding, teaching me the skills required to be successful in today’s ever-changing business world. I am currently seeking a summer 2021 internship to further progress my skills in this industry. Please contact me at kevin.vertatschitsch@student.sl.on.ca I began my career journey in 2011 with a love for cooking at Niagara College taking the Culinary Management program. Upon graduating, I worked full-time as a cook at different restaurants in St. Catharines, Ontario. At the beginning of 2016, as much as I loved cooking, I had the desire to gain more knowledge about the hospitality industry and widen my options for a career, so I decided to return to Niagara College in the Hospitality Management program. I thoroughly enjoyed my courses throughout this program and gained a lot of helpful experience within this field. I worked as a Guest Services Representative for a number of hotels over the following few years. I have recently relocated to Kingston and as mentioned before, am now pursuing my Business Degree, in hopes to progress further in the Accounting & Financial industry. I was first introduced to the Accounting world during my time completing my Hospitality Management diploma at Niagara College, where I took courses related to Hospitality Accounting. I quickly discovered that I have a strong skill in this industry and wished to pursue it further in the business world. Since June 2020, I have assisted Support Kingston with local outreach to businesses in the Kingston area, helping them list their business on the website, where they can market their products and provide customers with all necessary information about their business. I also volunteer with the Kingston Indigenous Languages Nest. Here, we gather twice a month to celebrate Indigenous cultures, learn Indigenous languages, and support each other. As the organization has been working towards gaining charitable status, I have been assisting the board of directors with financial reporting and bookkeeping.
