About Kevin Vogler

Kevin Vogler has eighteen years of experience in wildfire management, research development, and application, with a focus on understanding wildfire risk and prioritizing fuel reduction treatments to mitigate that risk. He possesses expertise in spatial data analysis, fire behavior modeling, and the development of data processing tools for projects ranging from local to national scale. Kevin's previous research endeavors include the creation of methodologies for wildfire risk mapping, fuel treatment prioritization, analysis of logging and transportation costs, forest growth and yield modeling, and biomass/carbon assessment. His proficiency in wildfire and silvicultural modeling is rooted in hands-on field experience, including data collection on first-order fire effects and wildfire disturbance history, as well as participation in prescribed fire assignments across nine different states.
