About Kevin Whaley

Kevin is a Colorado native and has lived in Colorado Springs for over 17 years. After completing his dermatology residency at The University of Texas Houston, Kevin returned to Colorado and started Summit Dermatology in Colorado Springs. Summit Dermatology's main office is in the Briargate area, and will soon open another office in Monument. Kevin specializes in medical and surgical dermatology providing treatment for conditions ranging from acne, warts, eczema and psoriasis to Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma and other skin cancers such as Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Melanoma and many other skin conditions. He utilizes numerous treatment options to include Mohs surgery. Kevin is a member of the El Paso County Medical Society, Colorado Medical Society; Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery; and Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Kevin enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, camping, as well as woodworking and writing. In 2017 he completed the Stanford Certificate in writing program. Kevin started his education at Colorado School of Mines, and after becoming interested in medicine he transferred to Brigham Young University, graduation with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, and later graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with his MD degree. He is married with five children and enjoys spending time with his family.
