About Kevin Young

I strive working in dynamic and challenging work environments. I like to push myself and aim for excellence in all aspects of life. I started at Ontario Power Generation as a nuclear operator where I completed an 18 month training program on CANDU nuclear energy. After developing my skills and knowledge, I stepped-up to the role of supervising nuclear operator role and eventually found my permanent position as a field shift operating supervisor role. Despite what media may say about nuclear energy, with the right systems and work culture in place, it is highly efficient, inexpensive, and is a carbon free method of generating electricity. I am lucky to be in a position given to few where I can learn so much about a field that is an important clean energy source in our future. I am also a health enthusiast who loves to inspire others to reach for their goals both mentally and physically. Having spent numerous years coaching, tutoring and strength training, I often look to my own experiences to mentor and motivate others to be the best possible versions of themselves. As an advocate of healthy lifestyles revolving around living an active and dynamic life, I hope to continue to influence others to improve upon themselves.
