About Keya Debnath

I am currently pursuing my second Master’s in Public Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy, with specializations in Data Analytics, Finance and Policy, and Energy and Environmental Policy. My academic journey at The University of Chicago deepened my passion for economics and data analysis, particularly in R and Python. With over eight years of experience in the Bangladesh Administrative Service as an Assistant Secretary and Senior Assistant Secretary, I have honed my skills in policy implementation, stakeholder coordination, and communication across various sectors. My work has involved managing arms law and firearm issuance and renewal, mitigating land disputes, and ensuring accurate land records. Balancing my roles as a mother of two and a dedicated student is challenging, yet it fuels my determination to learn and grow continuously. I am committed to spreading my knowledge of microeconomics and data and aim to specialize further in finance economics and data. Despite my challenges, I leverage my expertise to foster growth and innovation.
