About Keyana Saunders

With over six years of work experience in various roles, I am a versatile, adaptable, and collaborative professional with a passion for data and education. I have completed a data analyst certification from Google Coursera, and I have applied my skills in data visualization, analysis, and reporting to support the academic success of over 700 students and staff at Success Academy Charter Schools. As an Assessment Specialist, I executed all the logistics for accurate and secure administration of assessments, and I maintained consistent and reliable data records in internal and external systems. I gained motivation by the mission and vision of Success Academy, and I strive to contribute to the culture of excellence, innovation, and diversity in my next endeavor.In my previous role as a Mathematics Teacher at Success Academy, I guided the achievement of 200 fifth grade scholars through direct instruction, small group intervention, and data-driven lesson planning. I communicated and collaborated with students, parents, teachers, and supervisors to ensure student improvement and academic success. I also adapted to the challenges of remote learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, and ensured that my students had minimal content gaps while learning from home. I leveraged my skills in social media content creation, education, and organization to create engaging and effective online lessons. I am proud of being part of a team that ranked in the top three of the network for fifth grade math assessments, including the New York State test.
