About Keyur Doolabh
I'm the co-founder of Healthy Futures Global, and NGO that works to eliminate the mother-to-child transmission of syphilis and HIV. These two infections are devastating for newborns, but are just so easy to prevent by testing women during pregnancy and treating them if they need it. The key is using free, finger-prick tests that are just as accurate as traditional lab-based tests, but only take 15 minutes to give a result. These tests are widely available and recommended by the WHO. We're currently working to reach all 2.2 million pregnant women in the Philippines each year, and we're excited to expand to other countries. Before Healthy Futures I was a doctor training in emergency medicine. I've also spent time researching bioethics at Oxford University.
