About Khady Samba

Khady Samba knew that when she stepped foot in the U.S, she had to work extra hard to reach her goals. Coming from Senegal and a strict background, she learned the importance of setting goals for herself and taking steps to achieve them. She skipped her lunch break in elementary school every day so she can work on learning English. Within 3 months, she could read, write, and communicate so well that she made the honor roll. The example above is how Khady has lived her whole life; setting goals and working towards achieving them. While in high school, she was hand picked out of the entire school in 2001 by a prominent real estate company, The Durst Organization for a program called the CyberFellows. It was there that she learned who she wanted to be and the levels she can reach. She also realized that she worked really well with others and the public. She was mentored to be a career driven professional. After successfully graduating high school, she knew that she was really good in math and accounting and went to Lehman College to pursue her bachelor's degree. She graduated from Lehman with a Bachelor's of Arts degree and a minor in Black Studies and went on to work on her career as an experienced Accountant and tax professional. To everyone's surprise, she also has a passion in the beauty industry and making people look beautiful so in her spare time, she styles hair.
