Looking for The Brigde. I am The Bridge. After the graduation from the University of Jordan in 1991 I deliberately made the choice to get specialized in water management as the future carrier. Jordan is known with water scarcity. With this choice I wanted to contribute to the improvement of the water situation in my homeland. I gained my experience in various countries (Jordan, Yemen, United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands). The scope of work varied between the design of wastewater and storm water sewer systems, wastewater treatment plants up to the design of dams, carrying out studies regarding the performance and the functioning of water-related organizations. Beside that all, I participated in different projects that are not water-related like design of highways, residential complexes, hotels, hospitals, etc. Because music is my hobby, I worked in Jordan in several music bands for 10 years. Between 1995 and I combined engineering, music and tourism when I started working as tourist guide. Those were three different and wonderful worlds that have enriched my experience in life. In I moved to the Netherlands. At the beginning I thought of following my dream and work in tourism. After finishing the language school I decided to give civil engineering a chance. In 2001 I started my carrier at Water board “Groot Salland in Zwolle. After wonderful 6 years in Zwolle, I decided to switch to consultancy and worked at Tauw Consultancy in Deventer for around 3,5 years. In 2011 I swiched back to the Water Boards, and started as policy advisor wastewater management at Water board Rivierenland in Tiel. My dream to connect East with West through Water has become true in 2020 when I was seconded to World Waternet for three years to join several water projects in the Middle East. The dream is still going on.
