About Khalid Alshurafaa

Field Engineer at MWH, ensuring design and construction align with client specs and industry standards. I oversee contractor activities, resolve on-site issues, and maintain overall safety to contribute progress and delivery on field. As a Graduate Research Assistant at Kansas State University, I researched transportation and highway engineering topics, such as pavement design, traffic flow, and safety analysis. I use various software tools and methods to collect, analyze, and present data and collaborate with other researchers and faculty members on multiple projects. I have also gained valuable field and project management experience as a Field/QA-QC Engineer at Orient House for Development & Construction LLC, where I worked on the Al Saadiyat Ferry Terminal project in Abu Dhabi. I was responsible for overseeing the quality control and assurance of the construction work, coordinating with the contractors and consultants, and preparing and reviewing the relevant documents and reports. I applied my civil engineering skills and knowledge, especially in structural engineering, to ensure the compliance and accuracy of the project specifications and standards. I am a motivated and determined civil engineer who seeks to learn and improve my skills and competencies through challenging and diverse opportunities. I am passionate about finding innovative and sustainable solutions for society's transportation and infrastructure needs. My goal is to contribute to advancing and developing the civil engineering field and industry.
