20+ years of experience designing and implementing operating systems. Designed and implemented an embedded real time operating system. Software development for LynxOS, HP-UX and Linux kernels. 14+ years of experience working in telecommunications. Designed the Linux OS currently deployed in field for cell phone communication and handles almost 30% of cell phone calls worldwide. Many contributions to Linux and open source. Some are listed below- Kexec on ia64 - Rewrite of EFI memory walk and clean up of /proc/iomem -/proc/kconfig for kernel configuration access - EFI HCDP serial console support - prctl utility -I helped found the OSDL Carrier Grade Linux Working Group along with my counterparts at Intel, IBM and OSDL. OSDL CGL specification was adopted by SCOPE for carrier grade Linux profile. I was the chairperson for Proof-of-Concept technical subcommittee for OSDL CGL- I have spoken at various Linux events including LinuxWorld, Ottawa Linux Symposium, Gelato ICE and Intel Developer's Forum.
