About Khalid Elgazzar
I am an associate professor and Canada Research Chair in IoT with the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Ontario Tech University. I am the founder and director of the IoT Research Lab at Ontario Tech. Prior to joining Ontario Tech, I was an assistant professor at University of Louisiana at Lafayette and NSERC postdoctoral fellow at Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science. I received my PhD in Computer Science in 2013 from the School of Computing at Queen's University in Canada. I was also named the recipient of the outstanding achievement in sponsored research award from UL Lafayette in 2017 and the distinguished research award from Queen's University in 2014. I received several recognition and best paper award at top international venues. My research interests span the areas of mobile and ubiquitous computing, context-aware systems, Internet of Things, and secure and privacy-preserving cyber-physical systems.
