I currently manage and lead the SDN Network Planning team. The main focus of my team is to provide front-end SDN planning activities in support of the Verizon networks and SDN internal and external eco-system development. Internal ecosystem partners include, IT/NSS, labs, UAT, Verizon Network planning teams, Operations and external partners include SDN south-bound device vendors and advance/systems test support teams.Prior to this role, I have led multiple teams within Verizon; I have led the Network Integration Planning team, responsible for integrating the legacy networks (i.e. Public IP, Private IP and Transport) with the newly deployed MPLS based network called Intelligent Edge Network (iEN); I led the Product Planning team, responsible for evaluating all new products and services on the Verizon wireline network working with the various product marketing teams; I led the MPLS Core Planning Team for Verizon, responsible for evaluating new technologies and develop long term plans to modernize Verizon MPLS Core network to support current growth and emerging new services/technologies such SDN and Cloud Services. I led the Edge Planning team for Verizon IP networks, designing and evaluating new technologies for both Public and Private IP networks. Also, I lead the Data Traffic Engineering team responsible for modeling Verizon MPLS Data Networks and prior to that, I lead the Engineering Team for the Enterprise Data Networks responsible for managing the capacity for all the private data networks. I have graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering.
