With over 11 years of professional accounting experience, I currently serve as the Financial Consulting Director at Embark. I am dedicated to helping clients across various industries, including real estate, hospitality, and retail, achieve their financial goals and elevate their careers. My career began as a tax associate in small firms, followed by a role as an auditor at Weaver then BDO USA LLP. I then transitioned into the real estate and hospitality sector, managing portfolios that included 197 hotels with 22,676 rooms, valued at $2.8 billion. This diverse background has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of financial operations and strategic consulting. I thrive on working with Excel, automating processes, and performing detailed analytics to deliver insightful and efficient solutions. My expertise encompasses financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, data analysis, auditing, financial modeling, ERP systems, cost accounting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. I also managed accounts payable and receivable, worked on different financial software. I have long experience cleaning general ledger details to ensure accuracy and compliance. Additionally, I have a strong focus on process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. Outside of work, I'm a father to a two-year-old boy and an avid golfer who enjoys the challenge of the game. I'm also a reading addict and love connecting with new people over a cup of coffee.
