About Khandani Msibi

Khandani Msibi is the Group CEO of NUMSA Investment Company (NIC) and 3Sixty Global Solutions Group. Msibi has over 30 years of experience in Manufacturing and Sales within the steel and FMCG Industry; 5 years in Operations and Sales within the Facilities Management, Catering and Cleaning Industries and has had a stint at the Water Board. Since joining NUMSA Investment Msibi acquired experience in funeral services, life insurance, medical aid, retirement fund and investment and lately Biotechnology. Msibi started his career in the metal industries where he serviced apprenticeship in welding and tube making at Stewards and Lloyds. He spent 9 years as a metal worker and later earned a position as a Production Foreman after nishing a production management trainee program. In 1991 he joined the FMCG industry where he worked for Brystol Meyers Squibb, Bromor Foods, and Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI). Msibi’s biggest career challenge was in 2008 when he was asked to join NUMSA Investment Company which was at the time on the liquidation roll at the Cape High Court. The rescue process was successfully concluded and was followed by a turnaround strategy that saw the entry of the Group into insurance and medical aid through acquisition of 3Sixty Life Insurance (formerly Union Life), 3Sixty Health (formerly Sechaba Medical Solutions and current administrator of Sizwe-Hosmed Medical Scheme) and started companies like NUMSA Financial Services and 3Sixty Client Solutions from scratch, amongst others. Further strategic shifts happened, with 3Sixty entering the Biotech industry in 2018. As a result of the biotech strategy, the group was again rebranded and became 3Sixty Global Solutions Group. 3Sixty is playing a crucial role in the fight against Covid, the group has invested in the development of Covid-19 Therapeutics and vaccines, launched Airocide for the sterilization of air. Msibi believes that 3Sixty GSG will have achieve its objective of being a listed Pan African business with global footprint by 2025 through an investment in disruptive innovations. The Group’s mission of “solving problems in our chosen markets through disruptive products and technologies” is being realized through symbiotic relationships with local and international partners. What characterizes the attitude that Msibi has inculcated in 3Sixty GSG is embracing change, experimental, long term view and risk taking and bold.
