I want to achieve more. Currently in my 13th year as an Editorial Manager/EA. Always learning the best organizational practices from the best minds and talents across various capacities. In my current role within the Editorial Manager ecosystem, I assist the newspaper's Managing Heads, the Chief Editor, and the Editor in planning and executing The Indian Express (IE) Editorial (Print & Online) reviews, tasks, and correspondence. This includes various initiatives for IE, overseeing the overall Internship program (domestic & international students), talent acquisition for Editorial, preparing Editorial reports for Pan India, overseeing Idea Exchange discussions weekly, and managing contributors' payments for all verticals. The Editor's Office closely collaborates with the CEO's Office, Legal, Brand, Corporate Communication & Marketing teams for brand building and Express events such as the Adda, Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards, Excellence in Governance Awards, RNG Lecture, among others. I'm directly responsible for Editorial Operations in the newsroom, working alongside Team Leads - across sections, bureaus, desks, reporting teams, photo and design; Human Resources (play critical role in yearly team's appraisal). Other responsibilities include coordinating senior-level meetings, scheduling meetings & appointments, both internal & external, calendar management. I've worked with CEOs, COOs, EVPs from India, America, France, and UK. Working directly with organizational Heads, given the diversity, has been both challenging and empowering. I am proudly one of the first breed of Climate Reality Leaders in India for the Climate Reality Project on climate action, trained by the founder, Al Gore himself (the 45th Vice President of the United States). India needs to hear more and do more. I'm doing my best to further this cause for action - spreading awareness on climate change. My first official job was in the BPO industry. This platform was a stepping stone for my professional career. It offered opportunities to deal with diverse clients and customers, both domestic and international (primarily from the UK & USA), on semi-technical & non-technical processes, notably with American Express & IBM.
