About Khoa Ton

I am in my final year at RMIT University studying Civil/Infrastructure engineering. I am a diligent and enthusiastic worker that is a strong believer in "hard work pays off" seeking self improvement as well as the improvement/empowering of others. I have experience working in the Civil Engineering industry which I have acquired through working as a Civil Engineering Cadet at Rail Projects Victoria (RPV). At RPV, I worked on the Melbourne Airport Rail, coordinating with various teams to deliver different packages/components on time. Working at RPV has exposed me to AutoCAD, Bluebeam, GIS apps used by different companies, Dial before you dig, construction drawings as well as the Geotech and construction side of Civil Engineering. Furthermore, I have gained invaluable working experience from different industries. These different job opportunities include working at Hungry Jacks as a counter attendee, mathematics tutor for primary school maths to VCE Methods at KT Education and my current role as a sales assistant at Smart Electrical Clearance Outlet. These different roles have allowed me to develop excellent communication, teamwork, quality customer service, leadership and time management skills which are fundamentally necessary for any role. The reason I chose to do civil engineering is because I am passionate about the discipline. It is necessary to improve the quality of life, raising the communities satisfaction and it empowers engineers to be more innovative in their work. I also do love a good maths problem. I am a confident, diligent and enthusiastic worker that enjoys challenges as a team or individually and will consistently look to perform at the best of my abilities.
