Position: Quality Engineer Joining Date:11th October 2023 Duration: 11th October 2023 to present Roles & Responsibilities: Perform in-process and final inspection of Single-Axis Solar Trackers and Module Mounting Structures (MMS) as per project drawings and technical specifications. Monitor fabrication activities such as cutting, drilling, bending, and welding of tracker components to ensure dimensional and structural accuracy. Conduct welding inspection (visual & dimensional), verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications in compliance with AWS/ASME standards. Inspect hot-dip galvanizing quality, coating thickness, and surface finish as per ASTM A123/M specifications. Ensure critical component alignment (bearing housings, torque tubes, drive links) during assembly of tracker structures. Perform pre-dispatch inspection (PDI) of tracker components including actuator arms, slew drives, dampers, and controller brackets. Validate motor torque settings, mechanical limit switch function, and alignment of slew drive to tracker structure. Maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection checklists, NCRs, and RFI logs for all tracker assemblies. Coordinate with Third Party Inspection agencies (TÜV, IRclass,TQC,BV, SGS, etc.) for stage-wise and final inspection clearance. Review and approve incoming material test certificates (MTCs) for tracker raw materials like structural steel, bolts, bearings, and fasteners. Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for field failure or site rejection cases of tracker components.Ensure proper tagging and traceability of components from fabrication to dispatch, including serial number mapping.Support field installation teams with tracker erection guidance,
