About Kienya Lockleer

With over fifteen years of management experience, I have participated in the full-cycle recruitment of applicants in retail, retail pharmacy, and restaurant industries. During that time, I succeeded in furthering my education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Kennesaw State University. This degree has helped to further my skill of insight in merging applicants with companies like CVS Pharmacy and Brinks Incorporated. During my time in supervisory positions, I have developed an immense passion for Human Resources, specifically in Talent Acquisition. I cherished every moment that I could bring my personal and professional skills in the creation a positive experiences for applicants and customers, while maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers and hiring pharmacists alike. During my tenure in the retail industry, I also excelled at maintaining a leveled head during highly stressful interactions that involved pharmaceuticals and medical care. My passion for both sociology and psychology has helped me to develop an exceptional level of empathy and to view all problems from multiple aspects. I am that friend and manager that will always provide a shoulder to cry on and will root for the success of the team. As of now, I’m looking to leverage my experience in the transition from retail management to Human Resources. I am currently reviewing all Human Resource certifications including, but not limited to SHRM, HRCI, CIR, AIRS, and CPSP. I am always open to suggestions on what certifications might be best for an entry-level person, how to properly and effectively navigate the Human Resource space, and how to further expand my knowledge and skills when assisting applicants during the hiring process. Ultimately, I want to be a good global citizen. I want to leave this world a little better than the way I found it.
