About Kierra Hughey

As an Information and Assistance Specialist at Tri-County Office on Aging, I provide information, referrals, and advocacy to older adults and persons with disabilities in the community. With over five years of experience in the human services field, I have developed strong skills in problem solving, team building, and communication. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership at Spring Arbor University, where I am learning how to apply the principles of business administration and management to the nonprofit sector. My goal is to advance my career as a leader and advocate for the well-being and dignity of the populations I serve. I am passionate about health and society, and I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Michigan State University, where I focused on the social determinants of health and health disparities.
