About Kim Bailey

I discovered my passion for working with children at an early age. I have been a babysitter, a nanny, a childcare worker, a preschool teacher, an elementary school substitute, and for the last twenty-three years, a home day care provider and preschool teacher. I love to encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and academic development. I have taught and cared for children of all ages. I also have a passion for sustainability. I have actively run a compost/recycling program and started a Green Team Club at a Shawnee Mission Elementary School. I have successfully operated a Terracycling program at the school and have mentored and recruited others to start Terracycling in their homes. Now, I make it a point to teach the children in my care all about sustainability through recycling, composting, and Terracycling. In December 2022, I discovered a new passion for leadership and team building when I became an ambassador with Red Aspen. Red Aspen is a beauty company started by three women that has grown into one of the fastest growing companies in the nation. I am now a Brand Manager within the company and am setting my sites on the title of Senior Brand Manager. Passions: Family, Faith, Teaching, Sustainability, Reading, Red Aspen
