With over 12 years of experience as an educator and leader, I am passionate about enhancing academic achievement, student wellbeing, and engagement. I hold a Master's in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor's in Teaching (Secondary)/Arts with Distinction. I have expertise in delivering various subjects in a High School setting. As a Secondary Teacher at Atwea College, I work with a team of exceptional teachers committed to supporting vulnerable young people by fostering inclusivity and integrity. I am a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. My calm and measured disposition allows me to handle challenging situations effectively. My passion for teaching and learning and my commitment to making a meaningful impact on students' lives motivates me to succeed. I aim to empower every student to reach their full potential and achieve meaningful progress. I tailor my teaching and learning practices to suit the diverse range of student's abilities and needs, using various data sources to inform my decisions. I collaborate with other teachers, staff, and stakeholders to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. In my previous role as Head Teacher Welfare (HTW), I successfully facilitated positive outcomes in academic achievement and student wellbeing and engagement. I demonstrated the ability to differentiate teaching and learning experiences to accommodate diverse students’ abilities by analysing student data from NAPLAN, SCOUT, check-in, YARCs, and school assessment data to plan and initiate LaST support.
