About Kim Coolidge

From the beginning of my teaching career I have sought out leadership positions and roles. I currently have 16 years of award-winning teaching experience and 6 years of corporate education and training experience. Within those 22 years I have positioned myself and worked diligently to become a teacher influencer with a reputation of being a professional, innovative, a best practice pioneer, a consistent evolver of instruction using effective teaching approaches and frameworks, and a positive, optimistic individual possessing a can-do attitude. In the field of education, new approaches, techniques, and devices are rising rapidly. It is essential that I embrace the changes, remain current, flexible, and understand them and know how to communicate each of them to colleagues. I believe all staff needs to keep their skills sharpened and their minds alert concerning mainstream topics and also those that are outside the box or address less frequent than basic instructional skills. I have been entrusted to develop, deliver and organize a multitude of professional development topics including curriculum best practices, Professional Learning Communities, classroom management (student interactions and multitude of peripheral teacher responsibilities), and school-wide vertical planning. These in-house PD opportunities drive learning and success by initiating an inclusive and supportive environment for our school community. My purpose was to encourage best practices, provide positive reinforcement, and maintain a culture of continuous learning. As a leader and mentor, I became committed to developing and sustaining effective coaching and support techniques to ensure teachers continue to develop the necessary skills to positively impact student learning. I have worked diligently to diversify my career in teaching. My greatest extension is defined by my corporate experience. My time in the private sector I worked to develop international product training programs for 38 countries and a sales force of over 2,500. In addition, I oversaw all promotional and product insert development, and managed an international team of 7 international product trainers to work with our customers to increase product sales, customer loyalty, and market share, while managing a team of 10 graphic designers, and a budget of over $1 M. These experiences demonstrate my ability to coordinate with diverse teams, communicate effectively both verbally and written, manage budgets, and develop training programs from the ground up.
