Everyone's life is a journey. Sometimes things align and in hindsight it all makes sense. My journey in sales began with an aptitude test several years ago. I was working as an Office Manager for my brother-in-law's HVAC company. We were spending thousands of dollars in marketing every month, locked in on several contracts, and we would occasionally have to use the line of credit to make payroll. In 2015, he hired a business development firm to help stream line the budget for 2016. They gave everyone in the office this test (as sometimes employees may be better suited in different roles). To my surprise, I scored off the chart in sales and marketing. I was given a new position as Director of Sales and Marketing - I did not belong in an office (shocker). My job was to "get out there and find something that worked within our budget". In my first few months of being out in the sales world, I found RevLocal at a local chamber event. I was desperate to find a company who could manage our digital marketing. My brother-in-law had been burned by several companies in the past. After evaluating over 5 companies, we signed on with RevLocal in January 2016. We liked the fact we would have someone local. With the help of RevLocal, my brother-in-law's revenue increased due to consistently being at the top of Google. I was offered the opportunity to work for RevLocal in August 2016, and accepted the position. Since then, I do not work a day in my life. I have a belief in RevLocal because I have seen it change business owners' lives first hand. I love meeting with business owners and educating them of the trends in digital marketing and how they impact their business. I do not look at what we do as simply selling a service.
