About Kim Dwyer

To say I love color and design, would be an understatement. While my passion for design has been with me since I was a young girl, I also love working with people and building strong customer relationships. What makes me tick? I have been passionate about design both interior and fashion from a young age. Inspired by my grandmother's love for mid-century design and vintage couture, I fell in love with color, texture and patterns and how to make it all work. I took this passion and poured it into many years of design work for Charlotte clients bringing color and pattern to the forefront of my designs. I built strong relationships and handled all aspects of the projects from design to orders to installation. My hard work was rewarded and showcased in multiple magazine and book spreads showcasing some of my favorite client projects over the years. My recent path led me into working with fashion and global apparel companies on two levels, the business side and the color/trend side. I handle the customer accounts, working with their global partners and offices and I work with apparel teams on color, trends, and analytics for future design seasons, which is fascinating. Doing deep dives into what people will be wearing, why and when, Love it! It's like creating a crystal ball for the future and watching it play out in real life. It has also fueled my interest in branding and marketing and why things work they way they do. I have always loved solving puzzles and finding answers. In my down time I love working in my yard (I love flowers), and usually have a paint project or 2 going on. I love to find old pieces and bring them back to life and will always take on a craft project to keep the creative juices flowing.
