About Kim E. Keller

My many years of varied experience have contributed richly to my current abilities as an electrical systems engineer. I have been involved in the aerospace industry specifically since 1984, when I first began working as a spacecraft controller,"flying" HS376 communications satellites. In 1989 I moved to Kennedy Space Center, where I progressed through numerous positions, from serving as a communication systems technician, through electrical technician and quality assurance duties on Space Shuttle, eventually serving as a Spacecraft Controls Operator – one of approximately 35 personnel at KSC who were entrusted with operating Space Shuttle Orbiter computers and cockpit controls during ground processing. Since then I’ve progressed to the position of Electrical Systems Engineer, supporting NASA’s Launch Services Program. In this position I’ve gained experience in expendable launch vehicle design, development and operations as practiced by numerous launch service providers, such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, United Launch Alliance, Orbital ATK, and SpaceX. My 25 years of experience at KSC have furnished me with a rich bed of experience from which to draw in handling my responsibilities. I look forward to continuing in this field for years to come, as it is a field for which I have deep, life-long passion.
