My mission is to serve critically ill patients and their loved ones with the utmost compassion and professionalism. Currently I specialize in the care of patients immediately post-operative cardiac and cardiovascular surgery, transplantation, and cardiogenic shock, as well as patients requiring support on a number of devices (ECMO, LVAD, IABP, and Impella). I am most passionate about the complexity of cardiogenic shock patients requiring V-A ECMO support. My doctoral research will focus on prevention of hospital-acquired anemia in patients on mechanical support devices requiring serial lab draws to optimize care.
