Background
About Kim Klufas
As a strategic leader in the third sector in Scotland, I proudly oversaw the National Virtual Services team, working with the staff team who manage the day-to-day operations of each of the 5 services. Before leading this team, I managed the National Helpline and the Click & Deliver Naloxone service—Scotland's only national Naloxone provider. Helming a growing team, I implemented service improvements and processes that increased our efficiency by over 55%, allowing us to deliver critical support to a larger number of individuals in need. In collaboration with the Scottish Naloxone Network and partner agencies, I’ve trained dozens of community, university, and corporate groups across Scotland in overdose awareness and Naloxone use. These sessions empower the public to save lives and help in the mission to reduce drug harms in our country. Since starting this post, our team has distributed over kits to all individuals across all 32 council areas. My experience in mental health includes conducting clinical assessments for individuals in distress, facilitating safe interventions for thousands of patients, and coaching our peer team to enhance their effectiveness and support their wellbeing. My early career in marketing focused on lead generation and event planning, directly contributing to organizational growth and increased reach. I’m passionate about intentional leadership, compassionate management, and data-driven decision-making and have a dedication to improving services that enhance community well-being.
