About Kim Knoll

I spent much of my career as a graphic designer, including a decade at a branding and design studio I co-founded. Along the way I picked up a paintbrush and fell in love. My paintings started as a hobby and eventually turned into my full-time focus. Today, I work with collectors, designers, architects, and curators to produce original paintings and prints for modern spaces. I also offer art licensing to art consultants and wholesale orders for retailers. I’ve been commissioned by brands such as The Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Yacht Collection, Four Seasons Hotels, Waldorf Astoria Hotels, JW Marriott Hotels, 7 For All Mankind, Norwegian Cruise Lines, CB2, Crate & Barrel, and Chronicle Books. My past life: I co-founded Knoed in Chicago, a branding studio for small businesses and startups in need of creative strategy, visual identity, print and digital design. My husband, Kyle Eertmoed, and I operated Knoed from 2011-2022 helping more than 55 companies with branding and design. During this time, I was the Organizer + Host of the CreativeMornings Chicago chapter from 2012-2016, volunteering to produce 48 events for Chicago's creative community.
