About Kim Pilon

Kim Pilon has been involved in the Facilities Management and Human Resources field for 30 years. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Certificate in Risk Management from Carleton University. Ms. Pilon started in the industry at JetForm Corporation where as the Director of Facilities and Logistics she built, staffed and grew facilities management, administration and product logistics competencies for the organization (including travel services, corporate insurance, purchasing and manufacturing), as the company grew from 50 to 650 employees worldwide. She went on to become the Director of Operations at Kyberpass Corporation where she was responsible for the start-up of the operations group consisting of Human Resources, IT, Administration, Facilities Management and Quality Control functions. She went on to become a partner in SimpliCity Developments Inc where for the past 15 years she has provided facilities management and human resources consulting in the areas of corporate space planning, acquisition and disposal of space and assets, project management of fit ups and move management services. Her accomplishments include a $4M project, whereby she moved a high tech client into sq feet of space. Her involvement included space planning, acquisition and leasing of new space, budget planning and project management of the fitup and move. The client adopted a New Way of Work (NWOW) concept whereby there are not closed offices or fixed work spaces. She was in charge of HR at the Ottawa based company, Espial, globally where she has helped with corporate acquisitions, facilities expansions and improved hiring process, employee engagement and performance management until they were purchased by Enghouse. She has set up new companies with Health and Dental benefit, HRIS systems and HR policies.
