About Kim Slipski

Kim is an Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#143946) in Pasadena, helps high-achieving people recover from anxiety, burnout, and stress, and uses positive psychology, EMDR, and neuroscience to help people rewire their brains and lead more flourishing lives. Kim received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, and has further training in EMDR, IFS, Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and more. Like many therapists, however, therapy is not her first career. After graduating UC Berkeley, Kim started off marketing & advertising, working in both corporate and startup cultures in San Francisco and New York. It was her own experiences with anxiety and burnout that eventually led her to quit her job and, after a sabbatical to travel and teach yoga, she spent several years helping many career changers like herself, as well as leaders in organizations, find more purpose and balance through work as an executive, life, and career coach. A big believer in the mind-body connection, Kim has spent time as a yoga teacher (RYT-200), having studied vipassana meditation and hatha and vinyasa yogic traditions through Zuna Yoga in Bali, and launched the first National Fitness Day in the US in 2017 to promote such empowerment through both physical and mental health and wellbeing. Today these personal experiences, as well as and the rich variety of experiences of each of her clients, continue to inform Kim's work.
