About Kim Winans

I am from Greenville, Texas, where both of my parents spent decades working in the banking and finance industry. They were good friends with a local Edward Jones financial advisor in Greenville, and he encouraged me to change careers and join the Edward Jones family. At the same time, I was fortunate to also be recruited by another Edward Jones advisor in my Rotary Club. I joined the firm in June 2012 and have a branch in far-north Dallas. Prior to Edward Jones, I spent 18 years in the healthcare industry as a sales and business development professional. I enjoy working with clients who are serious and disciplined about saving for their future. I spend most of my time getting to know you and understanding the current and future financial goals you desire to achieve for yourself and your family. We then work together to customize an investment strategy and help you stay on track to achieve those goals. I will work closely with your CPAs, estate planning attorneys, business attorneys and other professionals to ensure we have the right financial strategies in place for your future. My primary areas of concentration are individual and business retirement savings, life/long-term care insurance, tax-efficient investing, and education savings. In my spare time, I chair my neighborhood's Crime Watch/Volunteers in Patrol, volunteer for the Dallas Police Department, serve on the finance committee of my church, chair a local endowment committee and am a Rotarian. I am frequently spending time with my young nephews chasing basketballs, hunting dinosaurs, and playing Go Fish. I also have two very active dogs which keep me busy and entertained on a daily basis.
