About Kimberley Henderson

I've led talented communications teams in providing internal and external communications projects, processes and campaigns in support of strong, caring and safe communities. Other projects included the effective communication of change to advance project and policy objectives, including the integration of two public health divisions. I am passionate about developing and managing communications projects, especially those that enable community partners and stakeholders to collaborate and learn from each other through shared experiences and expertise. I am a lifelong learner, recently completing a course in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Digital Marketing and Communications. I also completed certificates in Planning for Effective Public Participation and Process Management. These complement my Project Management Certificate from the University of Toronto and Master’s Certificate in Public Sector Leadership from the Schulich School of Business. A double honours degree in Sociology and Mass Communications from York University launched me into this exciting profession. To contribute and get involved in the communications profession, I served as an IABC/Toronto director and later as Vice President, Programs. I managed four programs with the support of 70 volunteers, including the judging of the 2020 OVATION Awards. I then continued in an advisory role for a few years afterwards. I welcome the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals at any stage of their career journey.
