About Kimberley Simpson

As a teacher leader and an assistant principal, I have lead change at my school sites. Along with my team, I led the integration of PBIS into our school (K-8) and also helped bring AVID to the middle school as the AVID coordinator. As a CTE computer teacher and technology leader, I trained teachers on the use of technology to deepen learning and critical thinking skills of our students. I continued supporting teachers and students as a middle school assistant principal for 3 years before moving to the district office. As the coordinator for curriculum and instruction, Secondary Education for SBCUSD, I helped lead the integration of MTSS throughout our secondary schools in our district. Along with the assistant director of elementary instruction, we trained the MTSS TOSAs for each school site and helped integrate systems to ensure students receive the interventions needed to support their success in school. I am very proud of the work I did throughout my 30+ year career in education. I retired June 30, 2025 from SBCUSD and am looking forward to a new chapter in my life.
