About Kimberley Yee

I like being a detective. Well, not the sort you typically think of. I’m a medical detective of sorts. When I was younger, I’d help my mom interpret my sister’s lab reports. I’ve been on a path to the laboratory. I started as a pharmacy technician where I performed data entry, billing, and dispensing prescriptions. My coworkers would describe me as hardworking, detail oriented, and a team player. Even though it wasn’t the laboratory, the core beliefs are the same…to help someone. In high school, I initiated Humans of Robinson to help capture the photos and stories of students and staff hoping that their stories would resonate with someone else. Although photography and other crafts was not the career path I ended up on, it’s still something I enjoy in my free time. Over the past four years, I’ve worked in a microbiology setting, outpatient clinical setting, and now in a public health laboratory. While helping patients is my main gig, I’ve started learning Python, Oracle SQL, and PowerBI to transform data collected from laboratories to powerful public health data visuals.
