About Kimberly A. Johnson

My life's mission is to make a difference in the lives of students by assisting them with College Admissions, College Access and navigating the, sometimes daunting world, of Higher Education. I want every student whom I assist, to know that I will be their advocate and help them with anything that they need in order to achieve their goal of attending and graduating from an institution of Higher Education. I am a proud graduate of the NYC public school system, a graduate of a CUNY college and I've worked in Higher Education at 4 colleges for a combined total of 24 years. In 2022, I took my Enrollment Management and Admissions experience to the Non-profit sector and began my role as the Director of Admissions at TEAK Fellowship. I look forward to combining my education and professional experience to continue to assist students with Enrollment in High School, Boarding Schools, Independent day schools and colleges. In late 2023, I returned to school to pursue my IEC certificate and become an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) through Continuing Education Courses with University of California Irvine Division of Continuing Education. I will complete the courses in December 2025. In January 2025, I became a student member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association). In addition to my role as Director of Admissions at TEAK Fellowship, in Spring and Summer 2023, I worked part time as a College Access Specialist at a community-based organization called Bronx House. I led workshops for 5th through 12th Graders on College Admissions, Financial Aid and Career Exploration. I was so happy to give back to the young people in my home borough of The Bronx, NY! In August 2025, I will begin my second academic year as a Volunteer Virtual College Coach, through the San Francisco based organization, Scholar Match. This volunteer role allows me the opportunity to lend my expertise and assistance to first generation students during their College Admissions process.
