About Kimberly Allen

Hi, I'm Kim! A little bit about me. I earned my associates degree from Moraine Valley Community College. Unsure of a major to study for my bachelors degree, and some time at University of Illinois, I decided to pursue a career in the Insurance industry. I worked in sales for some time and then corporate training. I helped develop a six-week training program for new sales and customer service representatives while being part of the training team. I LOVED my job. until I found a new career, in 1996 - Full Time Mom! I know, this isn't a very popular choice today, but it was one that my husband and I saw as an important role. I've since grown my "mom company" to four children. Ages range from 24-14 years old. I've been very blessed to be able to be involved in my children's lives, volunteer at their schools and activities. While my many skills don't relate to my short resume, I can assure you I've become very proficient in many life skills (having four children alone should prove how well I can multi-task). I've owned and ran two businesses during my time as SAHM. I've been as high ranking as PTO President to weekly classroom helper in my many years volunteering at my kid's schools. Team Mom to many sports teams, member of several clubs, volunteered many hours as board member for local Little League organization, HOA events planner. you name it. I've helped organize, plan or have gotten my hands dirty being part of it. Now that my kids are a bit older, and more independent, I feel like it's time for me to explore other opportunities to expand my horizons. I'm loyal, independent, a problem solver, pleasant (or so I hope) to be around and eager to learn something new!
