I have worked for Safeway for almost 21 years, in multiple departments. Started out working in the deli and immediately trained and became the assistant manager in 2001. Following Deli I worked in the General Merchandise department, running it while the manager was on leave. For a period of time, Safeway had a culinary dept, which I ran. Merchandising, ordering and selling. When Safeway discontinued culinary, I moved on to bakery, as head sales clerk for front of bakery. In 2008, I went to work in the licensed Starbucks kiosk, inside Safeway, as the assistant manager. In 2017 the Starbucks manager left the company and I took over as the Starbucks manager and also became the in store recruiter for Safeway as well as the safety coordinator. Those are the positions I am currently in. I use ADP for hiring, which is linked up to multiple job sites, including Linkedln and Indeed.
