About Kimberly L. Zelonis

At Milton Area School District, I serve as the Online Learning Facilitator and K-12 Cyber Coordinator. I love working for a district that puts their students' interests at the forefront and where technology is in every classroom, in the hands of each student. Part-time, I teach online for the Center for Talent Development at Northwestern University as well as with Penn State World Campus. I enjoy working with students at both secondary and post-secondary levels in an effort to improve teaching and learning for everyone involved. I spent 13 years teaching Spanish in a high school classroom and most recently worked as the Director of Student Teaching and Field Experience at Lock Haven University for 1 year. Educational technology, teacher education, distance learning, and continuing professional education are topics of personal and professional importance to me. I am excited about the possibilities in these areas and strive to execute research that contributes to investigating these ever-changing phenomena. I have presented original research at many conferences and published several articles as well. As a reviewer for conferences such as AERA, AACTE, and SITE and academic journals, I also learn a great deal from colleagues through the topics they research and present, which helps to keep my knowledge cutting edge and encourage a well-rounded perspective even in areas that are not within my expertise.
