Throughout my paralegal education, I have learned many skills that serve as a foundation for what a paralegal must actually do. Education can only take one so far, the rest must be learned through actual application, a building upon if you will, of those foundational skills. I believe a paralegal must be great at performing professional puzzles; must be able to adapt the skills learned to fit the supervising attorney's accepted style. A firm foundation is built through education. However, that foundation quickly disappears when hired by a firm. Each attorney has his/her own way of doing things; the puzzle pieces.
