Coordinates all NECC Recovery Care programs regional case management and ensures Recovery Care managers are adhering to the NWW-SH program instruction 1740.1 and higher directives and guidance. • Monitors and reviews work conducted by Recovery Care Managers and the administrative position for productivity, identifies issues, root causes and develops any required resolution plans. • Serves in community committees, on weekly phone calls, boards and councils as a subject matter expert in the area of quality of life for military personnel and their families; represents NECC Recovery Care’s Program Director at professional conferences or higher headquarters working groups. • Identifies employee training and development needs and provides or arranges training priorities to ensure staff has adequate training to accomplish mission. • Understands and interfaces with Navy Wounded Warrior and other subject matter experts to effectively and proficiently advocate for the NECC Community • Serves as the NECC Recovery Care Program subject matter expert and the chief consultant on evolving support programs, resources, benefits and entitlements for wounded, ill and injured and their family/caregivers. • Motivates, guide and mentor all RCM’s assigned to the NECC Recovery Care Program • Advocate for returning warriors and their families; • Assist with issues related to health care, benefits, pay, entitlements, legal and medical and physical evaluation board • Collaborate with the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and non-governmental organizations to provide maximum benefits for the Wounded Warrior and their families • Liaise with the Psychological Health Team, Medical Officer, Chaplain, and Family Readiness Coordinator to assist with the integration of NECC Recovery Care Management Program • Provide direct warrior and family advocacy and support to ensure all needs are met through the coordination of services and resources from both governmental and non-governmental agencies.
