Kimberly Mott is a motivated and energized salon owner and hairdresser. She started her salon back in 1996 as a sole proprietor. In 2007 she joined the Summit company and saw growth through one of the most difficult economical times. Her salon company is now a square foot, full service salon and spa with over 30 employees. Kimberly’s salon thrives on the idea of “growing our own.” The salon reaches out to cosmetology students with their own team of educators who assist with the hiring process. This team is dedicated to the education and growth of every new hire that joins their team. Kim credits Summit and the Summit coaches for helping her get through some of the most difficult times in her career. This industry changes quickly and to be successful there must be a willingness to do the hard stuff. Kim’s Summit consultant helped her every step of the way, and that is why Kim is a coach today. Her desire is to help strengthen salon owners as well as help them develop a plan for success. Kim wants to help you be the owner you have always wanted to be, and have the team you always wanted to have. What Kim counts as her greatest success is that the service providers on her team love coming to work. Many see it as their safe place when life gets tough, and state that there is no place they would rather be. Kim knows how important the guest experience is, but is aware that what is equally important is the daily experience of the service providers. You cannot have one without the other. Favorite quote. Married to her best friend for 31 years, 2 grown children, 1 daughter-n-law, and grand-baby on the way and let’s not forget about her two adopted pit bulls. Kim has run 2 full marathons but now loves riding a road bicycle long distance. She loves kayaking and camping.
