About Kimberly Rowley

I have an extensive background in performing arts that includes acting, dancing, producing, directing & choreographing for various companies both professional and amateur. Currently, I am the Artistic Director of the Cumberland Theatre, Western Maryland's only Regional Professional Theatre. We produce eight main stage productions per year as well as additional programming for children, play readings and other special events. I also currently serve as the Dance Coordinator for the Cumberland YMCA and teach a variety of classes ranging from age five - adult. Classes include ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theatre and much more. I am a regular monthly contributor to the Allegany Magazine, a premier lifestyle magazine in Western Maryland and cover a variety of topics. Recently my story for March 2020 was featured as the magazine’s cover story. I also have a background in sales - from retail to radio to print media and experience in planning and coordinating special events such as concerts, weddings, and corporate events. For the past seven years, I have found a niche in social media marketing and promotions, assisting in the development of marketing campaigns, designing online collateral and using social media as a valuable marketing tool. Some call me a "jack of all trades"; however, I feel that my diverse background has given me the tools to work in various industries successfully. I have learned how to give impeccable customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think fast on my feet without feeling overwhelmed. In my spare time I still take other professional acting, directing and choreography jobs. I also do freelance social media marketing and website design.
