Experienced Mid-Level Manager in the Hospitality Industries with emphasis on Meetings & event planning. This experience was helpful when joining the NFP/Association Workforce for planning Events via on line platforms. I worked in Healthcare during the college years and it sure has changed. Working in Hospice and Palliative care in a non medical capacity is humbling and rewarding. Privy to Lobbying, Hospice Providers struggles in a Not For Profit Setting, combined with Workforce shortages. As a former Catering Manager/ Wedding Planner, time management was essential. Am I good at it? Yes. Am I great at it? No. But. the work gets done on time - whether it is a 6 - 7 day work week, you put on your adulting pants and get it done because IT IS YOUR JOB AND WHY YOU ARE GETTING PAID! Never thought I would enjoy working M - F - and I love it - especially those holiday weekends! It was a great experience working in hospitality - the Not for Profit environment is amazing and it's own circle -just as much as Hospitality is its own neighborhood. Not ready to retire but when that time approaches, will most definitely return to Hospitality - perhaps a hotel Front Desk Associate - guiding Tourists to parts of "my city" is rewarding plus helping boost the local economy. In addition, listening to visitors and making for a warm welcome experience makes the day go smoothly!
