30-year research administration professional in higher education with progressive leadership expertise in project management, and overseeing system configuration and administration. Well-versed in policy, practice, process improvements and operational efficiency for pre-award, post-award, and regulatory compliance activities, with the ability to navigate both the broad perspective and critical details. Broad knowledge of risk mitigation and management, as well as research security. I am focused on developing cooperative relationships and collaborations with stakeholders, IT and vendors that effectively connect strategic vision, business needs, and IT solutions to optimize research operations. I manage several software systems used in research administration from requirements gathering to vendor research, benchmarking, change management, and project planning to go-live. I keep university executives, colleagues, and vendors up to date through clear and concise communications. My team and I stay current on the latest features in the Cayuse Research Suite that best support our business processes. We are responsible for data validation and process standardization and training to ensure our data remains clean for accurate reporting. I am often asked to consult with other universities as they consider various systems and vendors wondering where to best place their resources.
