About Kimberly Simonson

Kimberly Simonson is President of Simonson Design USA working remotely all over the country. As a Fourth-generation member of a 100-year-old family-owned and operated lumberyard, Simonson Lumber, Kimberly grew up in the industry, serving on the company’s board of directors with her brothers. She earned degrees in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of North Dakota, and has served as Marketing Director for Simonson Lumber since she was 23. As the company grew and evolved, Kimberly became more involved in contractor sales, and heading up outside sales and new business initiatives. Starting in 1997, the company decided to expand a niche it had developed in house design. Kimberly played an active role, along with her son Zak and brother Peter T, in the creation of Simonson Design Studios, including the use of 3D renderings so that contractors and homeowners could see a virtual version of their project before beginning construction. The results have been fewer mistakes and less project manager time spent on changes with a firm understanding of what the project will look like before ground is broken. As the business has evolved, Simonson Design now has an online 3D and VR plan boutique that revolutionizes an “ordinary plan sites” to an interactive way to see any plan brought to life before its purchased or built. The flair is Kimberly, with her team will work remotely to customize any of their plans, interior and exterior, to match what you have on any on any of your idea books or in your mind. More recently, the company created software that coordinates with their designs to create a virtual reality tour for clients to navigate their new home—much like navigating a video game. Under Kimberly’s leadership, Simonson Design has established relationships with LBM dealers, as well as builders, developers and architects around the U.S. and now with the help of her design partner, Architect, Roberth Jorden we are pleased to be working with Venezuela and our Spanish speaking clients around the world. A President with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture, contractor relations & planning industry. Strong business development professional skilled in Project management Archicad, Sales, Leadership, 3D Visualization, and Microsoft Excel. I work remotely all over the country as well as in Venezuela and Romania. We do full construction documents, Custom Design,VR, 3D as well as support work on a wide variety of projects.
