About Kimberly Singer

I have worked over 25 years in the field of early childhood education. With a M. Ed. in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, I am FL state certified in K-12 ESE. Hearing Impaired, PreK-Primary, Birth-Four, and hold a K-12 Reading Endorsement and Preschool Handicapped Endorsement. I began my career in preschool special education, working with students with complex developmental and physical needs. I have worked with students with all disabilities, including spending several years teaching in a classroom for preschool students with ASD. I created a three-time award winning Mommy and Me program serving the South Florida tri-county area of Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties. Upon leaving that program, I moved into coaching in the Broward County Public Schools Head Start/Early Intervention program. As a district certified coach. I supported teachers in all areas including curriculum and instruction, behavior, CLASS. assessment, disabilities. and more. I then moved into creating Professional Development for the fifth largest district in the country and CLASS observer. In addition to creating content on Canvas and for in person training, I nationally present at NAEYC and other conferences such as the Florida Head Start Association and other regional conferences. I am presently the Head Start Collaboration Director representing Head Start in the state of Florida. working with the Division of Early Learning under the Department of Education. I serve on multiple state leadership teams as well as collaborate with state agencies to meet the comprehensive needs of Head Start programs across the state. In addition, I teach through the University of Florida Lastinger Center teaching online courses for early childhood professionals. I am Community of Practice certified as well as a certified Lastinger coach.
