About Kimberly Traylor

I am a life-long learner whose career is rooted in unlearning to relearn; a critical skill to prepare for future change. My background in training has honed my ability to actively listen to the vision of executive leaders and the needs of employees to simplify complex messages, develop effective communications, and better prepare all parties of the change that is inevitable. I seek projects that meet my own PPE standard of being Purposeful, Productive & Effective and have found that I best experience this when I am educating and empowering others to become more confident, pursue new opportunities, or become more engaged and focused on their goals. The threat of change threatens that ability to empower due to humans natural tendency to resist change, but I want to be a trusted leader who guides others through the perpetual evolution of our personal and work lives. My career in training has naturally evolved to change management; however, when I reflect on my previous roles or assignments, I see how being a change agent is a constant theme of my past. My leaders have often requested that I implement, institute, restructure or lead initiatives, to which I've always attributed to my positive attitude and ability to "drive." I realize now that being a change agent is simply one of the various transferrable skills from my training background. Moreover, these assignments energize me by providing new problems to solve for, new strategies to develop, and create opportunities for me to reignite or establish relationships. Change isn't a solo process and it doesn't happen in a vacuum; it takes many of us to take the journey and reap the rewards together.
