Background
About Kimberly Webb
As a supervisor in the Defense Attache Service (DAS) at the Department of Defense (DoD), I lead a team of over 150 military and civilian personnel supporting 14 Defense Attache Offices (DAOs) in Southeast Asia and Oceania. I also manage six HQ staff who provide administrative, financial, logistical, and operational assistance to the DAOs. I have been in this role since 2018, and I have successfully coordinated and facilitated multiple high-level engagements, intelligence exchanges, and security cooperation activities with our regional partners and allies. I have more than 23 years of experience in the government, with a diverse and extensive background in information operations, intelligence, and international relations. I started my career as an active-duty information operations officer in the Air Force, where I served for seven years and supported Iraq and deployed to Afghanistan. I then joined the DAS as a civilian, where I have worked for 18 years in various regions, including West Africa, Eurasia and Southeast Asia. I also continue to serve in the Air Force Reserve as an information operations officer, with 15 years of service and have earned multiple awards and commendations for my performance. I hold an M.A. in International Relations from Wright State University and a B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University. My mission is to foster positive change on a global scale by bridging cultures through effective international relations. I am committed to driving innovation as a catalyst for progress, leveraging collaboration and creativity to address pressing global challenges. I strive to engage with diverse perspectives, empowering individuals and communities to contribute to a more interconnected and sustainable world. Through continuous learning, empathy, and forward-thinking initiatives, I aim to inspire others to join me in building a future where cooperation, innovation, and mutual understanding transcend borders.
