Lighting Designer, Master of Arts and the senior lecturer in lighting design Kimmo Karjunen is known as a distinctive artist and as a favourite teacher. In his work light is a part of a collective Gesamtkunstwerk. The starting point in design is in the space and the content. In 2009 Kimmo Karjunen received the State of Finland Award for the Arts as the first lighting designer in Finland.
